The fresh Cyberpunk 2077 update can load up to 90% on 8-core processors
Cyberpunk 2077 developers have advised players to check the cooling systems of their PCs before the release of the free 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty add-on.
Philip Pierscinski, lead scene programmer at CDPR, noted that the new additions will be quite demanding on users’ PCs – the load on 8-core processors can reach up to 90%.
The authors use all the PC power of the players, so the latter at the same time recommended to check the stability of the system through the program Cinebench (or analogues).
Details about the exact release date of update 2.0 are expected this week. It is possible that it will appear simultaneously with the release of Phantom Liberty, scheduled for September 26. The size of the add-on on PS5, by the way, is 33GB.
With the release of the update and add-on the game will have not only technical innovations, but also gameplay changes with fresh quests and other content.
If they fail again I won’t be surprised. they need to optimize their games and not advise players to check their computer
