A new gameplay trailer for the Chinese open-world RPG Wangyue has been released
A new gameplay trailer for the open-world action RPG Wangyue from the Chinese team Stars Studio has been released online. Released on July 9, 2026, the trailer, titled “Moonlit City Gameplay Preview,” introduces viewers to the mechanics of metropolitan exploration, elements of urban life, and interactions with unusual creatures.
The game takes place in the fantasy metropolis of Tianyue City, where humanity coexists with supernatural beings known as moon spirits, or Yueling. Players assume the role of a Yinxuanshi, an adventurer with special abilities. Their main objective is to explore the city’s districts, find allies among representatives of various professions, purify the moon spirits, and develop the metropolis.
The video showcases key features of city navigation. Characters can freely navigate the streets on foot, use motorcycles and cars, and even glide across the rooftops of high-rise buildings using special equipment. The developers emphasize the detailed urban environment, combining elements of modern architecture and traditional Chinese aesthetics.
The project is being developed by Stars Studio for personal computers and mobile devices running iOS and Android. The developers previously conducted a series of offline tests in China and confirmed the game’s participation in the upcoming BiliBiliWorld 2026 exhibition. A precise release date has not yet been announced.
