Subnautica 2 has amassed over 5 million wishlists on Steam

To celebrate the upcoming release of Subnautica 2, developers Unknown Worlds held a special First Dive Showcase stream, which was watched by over 70,000 viewers at its peak.
The stream showcased several key mechanics of the sequel, including details on environmental adaptation, allowing players to physically evolve and survive in changing conditions. Expanded base building, new underwater vehicles, and encounters with giant deep-sea creatures were also showcased, while improved underwater lighting showcased the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.
Subnautica 2 is the official sequel to the Subnautica series. Set in a new alien world within the Subnautica universe, it will feature new ecosystems, improved graphics, and, for the first time in the series, optional co-op for up to four players, allowing players to survive and explore the depths together.
Players can wishlist Subnautica 2 on Steam and pre-load the game ahead of its release on May 14th.
