SOMA is getting ready for Switch – trailer is here, but release date is still under wraps

Frictional Games has released the first trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of the sci-fi horror SOMA. The trailer shows the dark atmosphere of the abandoned research base PATHOS-II and promises to preserve the spirit of the original.

The game, known for its disturbing philosophy and deep story, is now being adapted for the portable console by Abylight. The developers assure that the Switch version will be a “complete and accurate adaptation” with optimized performance, graphics and sound.

The exact release date has not yet been announced, but it has already been confirmed that SOMA will be compatible with the upcoming Switch 2. In addition, Frictional’s other projects, Amnesia: Rebirth and Amnesia: The Bunker, are also in development for the Nintendo console.
