Forza Horizon 6 Rumored to Be Announced at Tokyo Game Show in Late September

A new rumor from Windows Central, a pretty reliable source for Xbox news, claims that Forza Horizon 6 will be announced in a few weeks. According to the publication, they have seen documentation that Forza Horizon 6 will be announced at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The event will run from September 25 to 28 and will feature a ton of great games, including Xbox titles. Forza Horizon 6 is rumored to be set in Japan, so it makes sense that the game is being showcased at a Japanese show.

At this point, these reports should be taken with a grain of salt since it is just a rumor, but it has been four years since Forza Horizon 5 was released and the game has stopped receiving major content updates. This suggests that the team is putting all of its energy into the next game, and hopefully that means a release soon. Forza games usually come out in the fall, so it is possible that Microsoft will release this one in November or December. If not, then a spring 2026 release seems more likely, perhaps before GTA 6. It’s also unclear whether Forza Horizon 6 will be coming to PS5 on launch day, but it seems likely given the previous game’s runaway success on Sony’s console.
