NVIDIA unveiled DLSS 4.5 at CES 2026.

The new version of the technology promises better image quality with reduced artifacts.

DLSS 4.5 is based on the second-generation Transformer model, which will improve image quality in games and reduce artifacts like ghosting. Combined with the updated 6X frame generator (which creates up to five additional frames per frame), gamers will see a frame rate boost without having to lower graphics settings.

According to NVIDIA, DLSS 4.5 will deliver up to a 35% performance boost with path tracing enabled at 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate.

The new version of the technology works on all RTX graphics cards starting with the 2000 series, but NVIDIA notes that owners of RTX 4000 and 5000 series will notice the biggest changes. DLSS 4.5 is already supported by over 400 games, and the NVIDIA app will also allow you to enable the technology even for games that don’t support it.

DLSS 4.5 is already available for trial in the NVIDIA app beta, and the technology will be officially released on January 13.
