Zenless Zone Zero received update 3.0, which opened a huge city in the clouds and launched the third season
HoYoverse released a major update for Zenless Zone Zero, Update 3.0, titled “Confessions of a Sleepwalker,” simultaneously kicking off the third season of story content. The patch was one of the largest in the game’s history, adding a new location, characters, modes, and graphical improvements for PC.
The main event of the update was the discovery of Rozkelifer, a vast floating city located high above the clouds. This unusual place is home to both humans and banbu, and players will explore its mysteries with Weisz and Belle. In the new story, the heroes will also begin to uncover the power of Pyrois, which will become an important part of the story’s development.
New agents were also introduced. In the first half of Update 3.0, players will have access to Velina, the first Wind character with the Anomaly specialization. She will later be joined by Norma, a Fire character with the Intimidation specialization.
Season 3 also introduced the free Pyrois character. The developers have already confirmed that his signature amplifier and additional improvements will be added in future updates, allowing the new hero to gradually unlock his potential.
In addition to story content and characters, the patch includes new game modes “About Genius, Banbuses, and the Miracle Chip” and “Simulacra and Annihilation,” as well as the traditional set of events and rewards.
HoYoverse paid special attention to the technical side of the project. The PC version of Zenless Zone Zero now supports ray tracing, frame generation technology, and DLSS Super Resolution, which should significantly improve image quality and performance on modern systems.
Judging by the scale of the changes, Update 3.0 not only continues the development of Zenless Zone Zero but also opens a new story arc for the game and lays the foundation for the entire third season, which will be one of the most ambitious stages in the project’s history.
