The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC Debut Trailer and Details

CD Projekt RED released a trailer for the “Songs of the Past” expansion for the action RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and also revealed what players can expect.

The DLC takes place in the Letten region, Dandelion’s homeland, located in northern Redania. Geralt travels there to meet his friend, but Dandelion suddenly disappears, forcing the witcher to search for him. The events of the expansion take place after the ending of the main game, and completing the other DLCs is optional. According to the developers, they wrote the expansion’s plot several years ago.

The gameplay of “Songs of the Pastt” is not significantly different from The Witcher 3, but Geralt will gain some new moves—specifically, a silver chain as a weapon—and the combat system will be more fluid. The witcher will encounter new monsters, and the world will become more alive. Geralt will also have at least one new romance.

The DLC will be released in 2027. Additionally, The Witcher 3 remaster will be released on September 29th, featuring improved graphics and gameplay.
