The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is coming September 18th – pre-orders for the new beat ’em up are already open

Publisher Trailmark Games and Odaclick Game Studio have announced the release date of The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival. The arcade side-scrolling beat ’em up based on the AMC series The Walking Dead will launch on September 18th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Along with the announcement, the developers opened pre-orders and revealed the available editions.

The standard edition, priced at $19.99, includes a copy of the game, while pre-orders will also receive the Golden Survival Pack with golden gear. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $29.99, includes the Arcade Apocalypse Pack, exclusive weapon skins, Rick’s Civic Republic outfit, the endless survival mode “The Walker Pit,” the hardest “Hell on Earth” difficulty with no checkpoints, and a digital soundtrack. Deluxe edition purchasers will also receive a pre-order bonus: the Golden Survival Pack.

Streets of Survival takes place during the “All-Out War” story arc, centered on the conflict between Alexandria and the Saviors. The developers emphasize that the game doesn’t retell the series verbatim, but offers its own interpretation of the familiar story with new scenes, unexpected events, and reworked episodes.

Players will take control of three iconic heroes: Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne. Each character has their own fighting style, set of abilities, and signature weapons: a magnum, a crossbow, and a katana, respectively. The campaign will feature locations familiar to fans of the series, including Alexandria, Hilltop, and Sanctuary.

The core of the gameplay will be dynamic melee combat featuring combos, finishing moves, and ranged attacks. In addition to numerous walkers, the Saviors, led by Negan, will pose a serious threat. The developers also promise battles with familiar bosses, including Winslow, the Well Walker, Negan, and Simon. The latter will feature multi-stage battles designed not only to test quick reflexes but also to utilize gameplay mechanics effectively.

After completing the story campaign, players will be able to test their skills in an arcade mode with multiple difficulty levels, while a separate easy mode is available for those who prefer a less intense experience. Thus, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival builds on the classic arcade beat ’em up formula, fusing it with one of the most popular zombie apocalypse television universes.
