The Riftbreaker has long been known to fans of the fanr. In it, the player had to survive on a distant planet, simultaneously building a base and fighting off the raids of local fauna. And all this took place in an open world. The Riftbreaker is a mixture of Tower Defense, Action and initial technological chains from Factorio. In fact, all the mechanics are not very well developed, but in general they are very refreshing for these boring genres. This month, fans of the game have a holiday. The long-awaited large-scale update has been released, adding a cooperative mode and an expanded story campaign with new long-term development goals to the game.

Co-op play gives this game a second life. The ability to assemble your own team of four and conquer Galatea 37 together is a real game changer. You can play through all of the campaign and survival modes together, as well as the Prologue mission.
You can play with friends by creating a server and inviting them, or join other Riftbusters from around the world and find the perfect match through our in-game server browser. Difficulty scaling ensures that the gameplay remains challenging but fair, requiring you to work together to achieve your goals.

And the expanded campaign is a brand new storyline featuring megastructures – specialized buildings with huge resource and upkeep requirements that will test your planning skills and provide powerful passive buffs in return.
The update also introduces new planetary locations for resource gathering or exploration, thanks to the new functionality of the orbital scanner.

You’ll also encounter new Omega creatures – new, stronger, and tougher versions of existing species. They’re the new backbone of enemy hordes, wreaking havoc wherever they go. There are a total of 73 varieties of these monsters to encounter! Each Omega creature gains additional abilities from a wide range of available options. Considering that the strongest Omegas can gain up to four of these special skills, the number of possible combinations is enough to ensure that no two encounters are exactly the same!

The crafting system and game balance have been completely reworked.
Crafting is no longer the only way to get new gear. You can now find weapons, mech upgrades, and other useful items as loot from enemy creatures, biocaches, and bio-anomalies.As for the difficulty modes, they have also been reworked in version 2.0 to better suit the majority of players. Easy mode has been toned down to provide a more casual and leisurely playstyle. Hard and Harsh modes have been “buffed” to offer a more serious challenge for those looking to test their skills.

The weapon system has also seen some changes, with firepower scaling noticeably improved throughout the campaign. Weapons that were previously too weak have seen significant improvements, making more builds viable.

The Riftbreaker is a strong and original project with a number of discoveries that can interest a player satiated with the latest games in such genres as survival, RTS and action-RPG.
With update 2.0, the game has sparkled with new colors and even those players who have already completed the original game more than once will find a lot of new things in the new update.
The Riftbreaker is a bright example of how even after the release you can improve the project and fill it with content.
