The heart-pounding road trip Forever Ago is coming this fall to all platforms

Forever Ago, a single-player adventure game about personal tragedy and the search for redemption, will launch this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Third Shift announced the release.
In Forever Ago, players assume the role of Alfred, who is struggling with the aftermath of a personal tragedy. Armed with an instant camera, he embarks on a journey north in a minivan in search of inner peace. Along the way, Alfred explores picturesque locations—from serene forest trails to deserts and mountains—and meets fascinating people, uncovering the stories behind these places and creating new memories.
Gameplay includes interaction with objects and small puzzles that help players better understand the world around them. The instant camera becomes the player’s key tool, capturing the moments and emotions that shape Alfred’s story.
Featuring an original soundtrack by Clark Aboud (Slay the Spire), Forever Ago promises to be an emotional exploration of love, loss, and self-discovery. Combining atmospheric storytelling, visual beauty, and thoughtful gameplay, this game offers players a meditative and heartfelt adventure that will leave a lasting impression.
