Persona 4 Revival Won’t Be Released Before April 2026

Despite the loud official announcement of Persona 4 Revival at the recent Xbox Games Showcase, fans will have to wait longer than expected for the remake of the iconic 2008 JRPG. As it became known from SEGA’s new financial report, the project will not be released before April 2026.
According to the document, Persona 4 Revival is not included in the list of releases until the end of the 2026 fiscal year, which means the release will take place in the 2027 fiscal year or later. Let us remind you that for SEGA it starts on April 1, 2026. The exact release date is still unknown.
Persona 4 Revival is a full-fledged remake of the original Persona 4, which first came out in 2008 on PlayStation 2. Visually and technically, the project should meet modern standards and, judging by the trailer, will be made in the spirit of the recent Persona 3 Reload.
Development is underway with an eye on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as well as day one availability on Xbox Game Pass, which makes the remake especially anticipated by a new audience.
Persona 4 is one of the most beloved and influential games in the history of the series, and its return in an updated form has become a reason for joy for fans. However, such a distant release date indicates either the early stages of development, or SEGA and Atlus’ desire to ensure maximum quality, as they did with Persona 3 Reload.
While Atlus is keeping mum on the details of the project, fans will have to be patient – a return to Inaba won’t happen anytime soon.
