Pearl Abyss has shared new details about the upcoming action game with role-playing elements Crimson Desert, which is scheduled for release next year. It became known from the company’s recent financial report that the game has finally decided on a position in the market.

Crimson Desert is no longer perceived as an MMO, cooperative action, or gacha. Now it is a purely single-player game, with a strong emphasis on adventure and a deep plot, which distinguishes it from other Pearl Abyss projects such as Black Desert Online.

However, the CEO of Pearl Abyss, Ho Jin Yong, expressed some concerns about successful sales. The company is focusing on single-player mode for the first time and intends to sell as many copies of the game as possible, as well as plans to release DLC after release.
