Len’s Island REVIEW

Len’s Island, an isometric open-world survival game that has been in Early Access since 2021, has finally reached full release. We haven’t played the game at EA, so we can’t say what changes it’s undergone. So our review will be our first look at the game.
Are you ready to dive into a world where you can build, farm, and fight off some serious monsters? Then let’s take a look at what makes Len’s Island an absolute must-play.
Len’s Island is a survival game set on a mysterious island where you need to find food, gather resources, and build a shelter to survive. You will have to chop wood, pick berries, and explore the island to settle down. You will soon discover that you are not alone, and later you will have to build a thriving and vibrant farm on the island.

Building houses on Lena Island is fairly intuitive, as external structures snap to a grid and interior furniture can be placed pixel by pixel.
Equipment can also be crafted, but you’ll have to work hard to get the resources to craft it. Coins can be earned once you can grow decorative flowers or sell what you find.

The island is huge and full of secrets waiting to be discovered. The caves are where the real adventures await. Dark, dangerous and full of monsters, these underground labyrinths are where you will test your combat skills. The combat system is simple but well thought out. Timing critical hits adds a nice layer of strategy, making every fight exciting.

Enemies mostly hide in caves, leaving the surface a serene haven for farming and building. This division allows you to switch between peaceful crafting and intense combat whenever you want. It’s the perfect balance between relaxation and fast-paced combat.
In addition to large, open explorable spaces, you can find cities on the island that you can upgrade by investing some resources. NPCs live there, from whom you can buy and sell materials and receive tasks.

Visually, Len’s Island is quite a visual treat. Vibrant colors, detailed environments, and dynamic weather effects create an immersive experience. The day/night cycle is particularly stunning, with sunsets that make you stop and stare. The sound design is equally impressive, with soothing nature sounds during the day and eerie atmospheric noises at night. All of this combines to create a world you’ll want to spend dozens of hours in.

Len’s Island is a really good game for those who love farming, survival and exploration. If you like these games too and want something that will allow you to express your creativity, Len’s Island is your obvious choice. We think that what the developers at EA were aiming for was implemented well in the final version of the project, for which they can be sincerely congratulated.
