Lenovo fits Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 into 1.6-liter ThinkCentre X Ultra – mini PC launches in November

Lenovo unveiled the ThinkCentre X Ultra, a 1.6-liter desktop computer powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. This APU combines integrated Radeon 8065S graphics with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory. Apparently, a configuration with 192 GB of memory, the maximum for this AMD chip, is not available.

The Radeon 8065S can utilize up to 96 GB of shared system memory as graphics memory. This memory is allocated from the same 128 GB pool, rather than being dedicated VRAM. Lenovo also lists the NPU as capable of up to 55 TOPS.

Soldered LPDDR5X memory operates at speeds of up to 8533 MT/s in a quad-channel configuration. Storage capacity can reach up to 8 TB thanks to two M.2 2280 drives.

The ThinkCentre X Ultra measures 183 x 183 x 51 mm and weighs starting at 2 kg. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR10, HDMI 2.1 FRL, and 10GbE. The front panel also features two 10 Gbps USB-C ports, and the rear panel features two 10 Gbps USB-A ports.

Lenovo will ship the system with support for Windows 11, AMD AI OS, and certified Ubuntu configurations. The company has also integrated the AMD Ryzen AI Developer Center with pre-configured AI tools, models, and workflows. Up to four ThinkCentre X Ultra systems can be clustered to increase available compute resources and memory for larger models, larger context windows, or running multiple AI tasks simultaneously.

Lenovo confirms the use of Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, Radeon 8065S with up to 96 GB of graphics memory, 128 GB LPDDR5X-8533 and a full set of interfaces in the specifications table. The ability to combine four systems into a cluster is also part of Lenovo’s announcement.

Lenovo ThinkCentre X Ultra is scheduled to go on sale in November 2026. In Europe, prices are expected to start at €3,100.
