Japanese tactical roguelike ANTHEM#9 will be released on Steam in early February

Japanese company Shueisha Games has announced the release date of its debut project, ANTHEM#9. A tactical roguelike with puzzle elements, it will be released on Steam on February 5th. The game is a turn-based strategy game where players combine multicolored crystals to activate combat skills and unleash devastating attack sequences.
The developers took into account feedback from players who tried out the demo during Steam Next Fest last October. The main complaints centered on a complex interface and performance issues. For the full version, the team has completely redesigned the combat UI, making it more intuitive and stylish. Changes have also been made to ability balance and gameplay pacing.
The main new feature of the release will be Extra Mission mode – an especially challenging endgame for experienced players. It is unlocked after completing the main campaign, which consists of four missions. Each subsequent Extra Mission level strengthens enemies and imposes additional restrictions on the player, offering exclusive skills and amulets.
