Fallen Tear: The Ascension will leave Early Access on September 16th – version 1.0 will nearly double the scale of the Metroidvania

Developers Winter Crew Studios, together with publisher CMD Studios, announced that the Metroidvania Fallen Tear: The Ascension will exit Steam Early Access on September 16th. The full version will cost $24.99, with a 10% discount for the first two weeks after release.
The developers note that Early Access played a key role in the project’s development. According to Creative Director Stephen Manalastas, community feedback influenced the balance of the combat system, the development of the “Bounds of Fate” mechanic, and other important elements. Now the team is ready to present the complete story of Hira, a mysterious child who must challenge the ancient gods of the world of Raoa.
The main feature of version 1.0 will be a significant expansion of content. While Early Access offered 10 interconnected regions, six main bosses, and 10 “Bounds of Fate,” the full release will nearly double the game’s size. Players will also encounter 10 more major locations, five new story bosses, 19 additional enemies, and 11 new “Fated Bonds,” opening up unique combat and exploration opportunities.
Furthermore, the character development system will be significantly expanded. New Ascension levels, additional Hunter skills, Elemental Infusions, and Mastery trees will be added, making Hira’s development even more flexible.
The developers estimate that completing the main storyline will take between 35 and 40 hours, while fully exploring the world and completing all the additional content could take over 80 hours.
At launch, Fallen Tear: The Ascension will support English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. The developers plan to add several more localizations later, including French, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean, as well as a console release.
