Details about Clutch will be revealed on June 25: the project’s creators will talk about racing, heists, and the underground life of the Riviera

Maverick Games announced a special Clutch: Deep-Dive stream, scheduled for June 25th. During the stream, the developers will give a detailed gameplay demonstration of their ambitious open-world racing game for the first time and discuss the project’s key mechanics.
The stream will be hosted by creative director Mike Brown, who previously worked on the Forza Horizon series, and studio co-founder Ben Penrose. The developers promise to reveal new details about the story, characters, the R1K professional championship, the underground street racing culture, and the heist system, which will be a key feature of the game.
Clutch tells the story of a racer named Theo, who lives by the rules by day and plunges into a world of illegal racing and risky operations by night. The game will unfold in the Riviera region, featuring a variety of locations, from mountain roads to coastal highways and port areas.
The Midnight Collective system is particularly intriguing. Players’ reputations will be built in real time based on their decisions and actions on the city streets, which should make career progression more personalized.
Judging by the initial footage, Clutch aims to combine spectacular racing in the vein of Forza Horizon with a full-fledged story-driven adventure. The upcoming stream will be the first opportunity to see how successfully the developers have realized this concept. The game is scheduled for release in spring 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
