AOC has officially unveiled a new 27-inch monitor with a 2.5K resolution and refresh rates of 540Hz and 1000Hz

The ultra-fast Agon Pro AGP277QK gaming monitor arrived almost immediately after the Philips Evnia 27M2N5500XD. Both monitors were unveiled late last year, but Philips only added the Evnia 27M2N5500XD to its website in late January.

This makes the official debut of the Agon Pro AGP277QK the second ultra-high refresh rate monitor in the last few weeks. As expected, the Agon Pro AGP277QK features a 27-inch IPS panel with a matte finish. The new monitor features a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (2.5K/1440p) and a refresh rate of 540Hz. In this regard, the Agon Pro AGP277QK is on par with modern monitors like the LG UltraGear OLED 27GX790B.

However, the Agon Pro AGP277QK’s refresh rate can reach 1000Hz, compared to the 720Hz of the UltraGear OLED 27GX790B. To achieve this, AOC’s new monitor had to lower its refresh rate to 720Hz. Other panel features include a 1ms GtG response time, VRR support, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and 350 nits of SDR brightness, which increases to 500 nits with HDR enabled.

Furthermore, AOC’s G-Menu software offers a variety of features, such as a dynamic crosshair and a sniper scope. The Agon Pro AGP277QK also features DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20), HDMI 2.1, and USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as a 3.5mm jack and 5W stereo speakers. AOC hasn’t yet announced pricing or availability for the monitor.

The Agon Pro AGP277QK monitor is currently only available in China, but AOC will likely release it in other countries later this year.
