Anima Flux REVIEW

In early October 2024, Anima Flux was released – an unusual indie metroidvania about the struggle of special agents against mutants in a gloomy devastated space city. The novelty received mostly positive reviews and interested gamers in both the original concept and its high-quality implementation.

In the game you will be transported to the distant future, when humanity left the Earth and went on an endless journey. However, it was not possible to find a suitable planet for life, so people remained on board the space ark. A quiet life is not expected – the station is constantly being attacked by hordes of mutants, and people had to be modified to fight them.

The gameplay turns us into two elite fighters who have received orders to go to a space city and find out the nature of the threat. A huge spaceship is completely captured by mutants and the heroes are waiting for a large number of battles, and both characters differ in their abilities and develop them in different ways during the passage. This gives them unusual effects and helps them survive among the monsters.

Anima Flux co-op supports two players exploring the gloomy locations of the city and engaging in boss battles. The combat system focuses on the lightning-fast movements of the heroes and striking blows, while the characters can jump high and use ranged weapons. Characteristics can be developed towards combat reflexes or mutual assistance, without which it will not be possible to cure a friend or resurrect him.

Another feature of Anima Flux is related to the visual. The game can attract the attention of gamers with high-quality 2D graphics and a gloomy, heavy atmosphere, created, among other things, by the design of locations.
